Christopher Emery

Chief Executive Officer

Christopher Emery (MBA) is responsible for Netagen’s growth and evolution strategy and is leading the organization to deliver on its purpose of enabling businesses and Government to CONNECT people, processes and things. Christopher is our foremost evangelist for digital channels to market, the evolution of software defined networking and managed services offerings. These new areas of focus, combined with Netagen’s strong Unified Communications expertise, position our organization to be of great value to customers as they undertake their own digital transformation and automation projects.

Christopher joined Netagen in April 2020 as the Chief Executive Officer and has over thirty years of progressive management experience with TSX60 Telecom companies and NASDAQ 100 Technology companies. Christopher has a diverse professional background with experience in technology strategy sales management, product line management, and partnership and alliance management.

Christopher holds an Executive MBA from Richard Ivey School of Business, UWO, and a diploma in Applied Science from Loyalist College.

 

Craig Broughton

Chief Financial Officer

Craig Broughton CPA, CA leads the Finance and Business Operations functions and is responsible for ensuring business practices are sufficiently robust to support Netagen’s growth and evolution strategy. Craig provides guidance to the management team on financial and operational matters.

Craig joined Netagen in October 2020 as the Chief Financial Officer. He has over twenty-five years of progressive management experience holding executive roles in a variety of industries with both global and mid market companies. Over the course of his career, Craig has been responsible for managing financial operations, project delivery teams, sales operations and human resources.

Craig is a CPA, CA who graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a degree in Communications.

David Patterson

Chief Revenue Officer

David Patterson MBA, HBBA is responsible for Netagen’s national sales strategy operation and customer engagement. Under David’s leadership, the sales and design teams partner closely with our vendors to design and position solutions to meet the needs, and solve the problems, of our large public and private enterprise clients. David is passionate about clear communication, delivering on promises and building long-term relationships with our clients, vendors and employees.

David joined Netagen in April 2010 as VP of Central Region and is now the Chief Revenue Officer. David has over thirty years of sales and sales management experience with national technology integrators. He has a broad professional background with experience in sales, marketing, leadership, and building new businesses.

David holds an MBA from Schulich School of Business and an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfred Laurier University.

Zoreena Abas

President & GM of IT Services

Zoreena Abas MBA, ICD.d oversees Netagen’s IT Infrastructure Services Division and mid-market team. Zoreena and her team of technical architects work collaboratively with Netagen’s core networking and communications teams to design, build, integrate and manage client’s IT systems. She has a strong focus on building customer trust and employs a hands-on approach to customer care and satisfaction.

Zoreena joined Netagen in March 2021 as the President & General Manager, IT Services Division through Netagen’s acquisition of Duologik and GDL. She has over twenty years of experience in the IT industry and has been recognized twice by Profit magazine as one of Canada’s Top 50 Women in business.

Zoreena holds an MBA from Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University and an ICD.D designation from Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto.

Ken Mac Donald

Vice President, Field Operations

Ken Mac Donald is responsible for Netagen’s overall customer service experience and project execution through his leadership of our national Operations and Network Operations Center (NOC). Ken’s lead by example approach to customer management coupled with a lesson learned philosophy enables him to constantly evolve his team and Netagen’s solution delivery process.

Ken joined Netagen in November 2019 as the Central Regional Field Director and is now the Vice-President, Field Operations. He has over thirty years of experience leading large operational teams with telecommunications and smaller VAR organizations. He has a diverse professional background with experience in Revenue Assurance, Cogs assurance, and P&L management which enables him to provide Netagen with critical insights in all aspects of our business.

Sarah Sanftenberg

Director, People & Culture

Sarah Sanftenberg leads the Human Resources and payroll function and provides leadership to the people and culture elements of Netagen’s strategy. She supports the leadership team with a distinct perspective and appreciation that human capital is Netagen’s greatest asset. Sarah is passionate about evolving the employee experience, supporting and nurturing the corporate culture and enabling the business to deliver on its purpose through connecting people.

Sarah joined Netagen in July 2018 as the Human Resources Manager and is now the People and Culture Director She has over fifteen years of progressive human resources experience with technology and customer service companies. She has a diverse professional background with experience in employee relations & engagement, policy and program development, strategic planning, compensation & benefit and recruitment & selection.

Sarah holds a diploma in Business Administration/Human Resources from Algonquin College.

Anshu Prasad

Vice President, Product Management

Anshu Prasad leads the Product Management, Marketing, and R&D functions within Netagen.  He is responsible for defining and executing Netagen’s product and solution roadmap across all technology areas.  Anshu is a visionary and creative change-agent with a proven track record of leading teams to deliver innovative business and technical solutions to delight customers.

Anshu joined Netagen in May 2021 as a Director of Product Management and is now the Vice President, Product Management.  He has 25 years experience in cloud and software defined networking, telecommunications, and software applications.  His roles have spanned product management, marketing, professional services and software development across multiple global technology and telecommunications companies.

Anshu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Computing Option) from Queen’s University, and is a Certified SCRUM Product Owner (CSPO).

Mark Biegler

Vice President, IT Systems & Processes

Mark Biegler leads Netagen’s Information Technology, Systems, and Processes function, and is responsible for defining the roadmap for new service delivery investments.  Mark is passionate about the customer experience and ensuring high quality delivery that maximizes outcomes and returns on investments for Netagen customers.

Mark joined Netagen in April 2021 as Director of Product Line Management and is now the Vice-President of IT Systems and Processes. He has over 20 years of progressive experience in Information Technology and Telecom service delivery.  He has led 24×7 NOC and managed network security services to an international customer base of service providers and Fortune 500 enterprises.  Mark has experience in B2B Services Strategy, Service Delivery & Operations, Information Security, Service Level Management, Supplier Performance Management, Incident and Change Management.

Mark is ITIL-certified and Lean 6 Sigma Blackbelt trained. He holds both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science from the University of Regina.

David Deabreu

Advisor to the CEO & Board

David is a people first leader with over 30 years of leadership experience  primarily focused on the IT industry.  He has held senior positions such as VP Channels, Public Sector and Services at  Cisco Systems,  SVP Channels and Business Solutions at Rogers Communications, Account VP at Bell Canada.

He has built and  led direct  sales  and delivery organizations focused on  Enterprise, Commercial and Small Business as well as indirect  Partner and Channel focused teams, who enable partner organizations to have the necessary tools, programs and training to create product demand and product preference.  He has also has experience in  services sales and  customer support as well as having had accountability for developing segment based  solutions  focused technologies such as data centre, security, wireline and wireless , unified communication and SAS.
